As a highly Reliable professional with Integrity and Strategic business acumen who strives for Excellence, I focus on the Human in Human Capital Resources.

 

Over the past twenty years I have seen the evolution of HR up close and personal. When I started my journey in HR as a Yeoman in the Navy my training consisted of learning each form and number needed. This was typical of how many personnel departments were ran, each form was numbered, formatted and filed the same way to keep it organized and easy in preparation for regulatory or other compliance audits to come.

 

Then came the era of HR professionals finding ways of “getting a seat at the table”. This was a great step in getting organizations to realize that we were more than just paper pushers and record keepers, we had valuable insight in employee needs and how to improve engagement but were rarely involved in the discussions happening in C-Suites or other meetings where these initiatives and strategies were created. Today, we wear many hats, and we lead companies to make the best people decisions possible so that our teams can function symbiotically.

 

Having transitioned and restructured an organization with more than 10K employees during COVID and as a Master's prepared HR professional I know what it takes to streamline processes and keep the company’s talent budget under control.
